Window Replacement in Cache Valley

Old windows cost you every single winter

If your windows fog up between the panes, ice over on the inside, or let you feel the cold from a foot away, they are not just uncomfortable. They are the largest ongoing energy loss in most Cache Valley homes. New windows pay you back every heating season, and they change how a room feels immediately.

Investment

What drives the cost

These are the factors you will see itemized in your estimate.

How many openings

Cost per window drops as the count goes up, since setup and staging are shared.

Full-frame or insert

Full-frame costs more because there is more work, but it is the right call when frames have failed.

Window type and glass

Vinyl against fiberglass or wood-clad, plus glass packages for our winters.

Size and access

Large or upper-story openings need more hands and more staging.

The only honest way to price this is to look at it. Book a free walkthrough → or see what our bid looks like →

Doing it right

Why installation matters more than the window

A good window installed badly leaks

Most window failures are installation failures: bad flashing, missing sill pan, no drainage. The glass is rarely the problem.

Insulation gets skipped

The gap between frame and framing needs to be insulated and sealed correctly, not stuffed and forgotten.

The trim is the finish

A window job people compliment is really a trim job. Interior casing and exterior returns are what you actually see.

Questions homeowners ask

How do I know if I need new windows?
Fog or moisture between the panes means the seal has failed and cannot be repaired. Drafts, ice on the interior glass, sashes that will not stay up, and rotting frames are the other clear signs. We wrote a longer guide on what Logan homeowners should know before replacing windows and on why Utah winters make replacement a must.
Which windows are best for Utah homes?
For our climate, a low-E double pane is the floor and triple pane is worth pricing on north walls and bedrooms. Frame material matters as much as the glass. Our guides to the best windows for Utah homes in 2026 and single, double, or triple pane walk through the choices.
Full-frame or insert replacement, which do I need?
It depends on the condition of the existing frame. We look at that in person, because guessing wrong is expensive. If the frame is sound, an insert saves you money.
Can you add an egress window to my basement?
Yes. Any basement bedroom legally needs one. We cut the foundation opening, set the window and well, and handle the permit and inspection.
Will new windows really lower my power bill?
They help, especially replacing single-pane or failed double-pane units. We will not promise you a number, because it depends on your home, your habits, and your furnace. Our post on energy-efficient window upgrades in Cache Valley explains where the heat actually goes.
Do you install windows in winter?
Yes. We take one opening at a time so your home is never sitting open in the cold.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Utah Contractor License #14294523-5501, licensed and insured in Utah and Idaho, and window work carries a 1-year workmanship warranty.
